About Us – Utah Wedding Photographers

Dezember Photography is a Utah Based Wedding and Portrait photography studio.  The studio was opened more than 10 years ago in a passion to capture some of the most amazing wedding images in the country.  With over a thousand weddings photographed since we opened we have quickly become the most recommended studio in the state by vendors and more importantly our amazing clients.  The Dezember Photography team consists of 4 utah wedding photographers.

Randy Despain

Randy has been captivated by photography as far back as he can remember.  In fact, his high school graduation gift from his parents was a brand-new super high-tech Minolta film camera.  That only fueled his pasion in what was a very expensive hobby.  Years later after becoming the default photographer for everywhere he went, he turned that pasion into a career.  Seven years ago he ran into Brody at a wedding and quickly joined the team.  Randy has been involved with building Dezember Photography from it’s earliest years had has now formed a lifelong friendship with Brody and the crew.  Randy more recently decided to purchase Dezember Photography and build the business he had been dreaming of for years.  Being a Utah Wedding Photographer is a tough job, but Randy enjoys the challenges of creating amazing images for his clients.

Randy’s style can sometimes be a bit more edgy and modern for those couples who want that style, to classic and traditional.  More than anything, his couples are amazed by the ease at which he captures their true emotions and love in his photographs.  His fun personality, crazy ideas, and intense knowledge of the wedding industry make him one of the best photographers in the state.

Jennilyn Proulx

With her outgoing personality and great office skills, Jennilyn has quickly become the backbone of the whole operation here.  Not only is she our office manager and the chick in charge, she is an AMAZING photographer.  Jennilyn has been shooting since high school where she first found her love and passion for photography. She was the sole photographer for the Yearbook and Newspaper staff  for Star Valley High School from her sophomore year until she graduated. This has given her, her photojournalistic eye and ability to create AMAZING images. Her passion for the wedding industry began shortly after her father passed away a few short months after her marriage. Jennilyn made the mistake of skimping on her wedding photographer for the sake of budget, ultimately sacrificing the quality of the last photos she has with her father. She is determined to not let this happen to any bride she comes in contact with.  She’s often teased around here for all of her brightly colored pants she wears (which we are convinced that’s the whole reason why she wears them now).

So feel free to pop in or give us a call any time. And if Jennilyn answers, don’t forget to ask her what color pants she’s wearing.  :)

Brody Dezember

Brody is a Utah native, but dreams of living someplace in Montana.  There is something about the rivers and mountains that makes him love it there.

He stepped into photography when he was a early teen and has loved photographing everything from landscapes to some of the most outrageous weddings all over the country.  Over the past 10 years he has grown Dezember Photography to being one of the most sought after studios in the state, but it hasn’t always been easy.  In the beginning he worked overnight shifts at a retail job and spent the days in the studio’s first location in Roy.  It wasn’t until the birth of his one and only son that finally made him realize that photography was what he wanted to do with his life.  Just recently Brody sold the studio to his friend and lead photographer Randy so he could be home with his family more.  Brody now takes a limited number of weddings each year in order to provide the highest quality images and service to his clients.

Kristin Brown

Kristin first picked up a camera during a field trip in elementary school. Her mom bought her a disposable camera for a trip to a museum, and that was what she feels was the best part of the day. “Later, when my pictures were developed, I was so proud that I took them; even though they were mostly of grass and blurry indoor photos.”Over the years she stuck with her love of photography. Getting cameras for birthdays and Christmases, and saving her babysitting money to develop my photos and by new equipment as the years went by. She switched from film to digital in 2003 and has enjoyed it ever since! “I love creating lasting art with families and couples through photography, and sharing in life’s memorable milestones with them.” When she’s not behind the camera she loves to read, travel, bake, train for and run races, and chase her vivacious two year old girl.
